Why we ask for CPD

Keeping your skills and knowledge upto date.

Engaging in CPD activities ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated or obsolete, and allows for individuals to continually 'up skill' or 're-skill' themselves regardless of their occupation, age or educational level..

  • I'm on a career break, do I have to do CPD?

Yes, it's especially important that you're able to manage your CPD whilst on a career break.

  • How should I record my CPD?

Use our My CPD reflections tool, which is an online space to review and reflect on your learning, supporting you to make and embed changes in your professional practice.

  • How does CPD benefit me?

CPD is about developing your professional practice. So it may help keep your skills and knowledge up to date.

  • How should i aproach my CPD?

A combination of identifying your learning gaps and planning to meet them – along with recognising your everyday learning – is an effective approach to take.
