This technical course provides a comprehensive understanding of internal wall construction and plasterboard installation, covering studwork design, fire-rated and acoustic partitioning, fixing techniques, and finishing methods in accordance with UK Building Regulations. Delegates will gain practical and inspection skills to ensure high-quality, defect-free installations.

Unlike standard plasterboarding courses, this programme combines hands-on installation with technical compliance knowledge, including:

  • Correct wall framing layouts and load-bearing considerations
  • Understand compliance requirements and what makes a defect unsafe vs simply poor workmanship

You’ll learn not only how to install stud walls and plasterboard correctly, but also how to identify and prevent common defects, check compliance with fire, acoustic, and building regulations, and conduct structured inspections.
