Visual inspection of smoke ventilation, AOV systems, stairwell pressurisation, fire dampers, and sprinklers, with focus on accessibility, labelling, commissioning, and interface with fire strategy.
Learn electrical system basics (single vs three phase, earthing, distribution boards) and inspect domestic circuits, consumer units, RCDs, cable routing, Part P compliance, and common defects.
Inspect three-phase boards, sub-mains, emergency lighting, fire alarms, generator backup, and lightning protection; focus on segregation, support, containment, labelling, and fire-stopping.
Develop professional reports including executive summaries, scope limitations, photographic evidence, clear remedial advice, cost indication, and a structured risk grading system.
Upon completing the course, delegates can take an online exam to formally assess their understanding of M&E reporting and inspection, defect identification, and reporting practices.

Successful participants will be awarded an ACQP Certificate of Completion, recognising their competence and providing a valuable credential for professional development and CPD records.
