About this course

This practical two-day course provides delegates with the knowledge required to manage fire safety throughout construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects. It covers fire-risk assessment, site organisation, temporary accommodation, hot works, combustible materials, fire detection, emergency arrangements and maintaining safe escape routes as work progresses.

Delegates will work through realistic construction scenarios and develop a project-specific Construction Fire Safety Plan.

The course follows the principles of the HSE’s Fire Safety in Construction – HSG168 and current construction fire-safety guidance.
